About Blessing Usoro

Blessing Usoro is an Information Security Manager, with experience developing and managing security solutions for large-scale enterprises across a range of industries. Her background in telecommunications, security operations, and risk management, as well as her unique perspective as a woman in cybersecurity, inform her measured approach.

Blessing is driven by her passion for raising the bar of cybersecurity standards and implementation across enterprises of all types and sizes. She believes that the world is ultimately safer when organisations and people apply the best cybersecurity practices on a day-to-day basis. Her diligence and versatility in creating solutions and running an efficient ship have contributed a majority of her successes in her career. Ever on the cutting-edge of technological advancements in the field, she keeps abreast of all that shakes the cybersecurity industry from zero-day threats to impacting policy.

She’s passionate about balancing the genders in the industry and leads Cyber Women Ireland alongside a few other Co-Founders, she believes that education for the field should begin at the secondary school level and actively works to make this happen. Mentoring is an area where she dedicates a lot of her time to women and minority persons. Blessing is a professional speaker and often speaks about the cybersecurity skills gap, diversity & inclusion within the industry, and navigating the world as a woman in cybersecurity.

When she’s not fighting cyber threats, Blessing plays the piano in the comfort of her own home. She’s also an avid reader, she enjoys watching Formula 1 races and appreciates the nothingness of a relaxing quiet day.
